Metal clad gasket is a composite gasket composed of non-metallic materials as the core material, and 0.25-0.5mm metal sheet is coated externally with a specific cold working process. Performance characteristics of metal clad gasket:
1. It has the same corrosion resistance and similar heat resistance as the coated metal,
2. The non-metallic flexible filler material enables the gasket to achieve a better sealing effect at a lower compression force.
3. It can be made into various forms of special-shaped gaskets, such as oval, square ribbed or more complex shapes to meet the sealing requirements of various heat exchanger tubes and non-circular pressure vessels.
4. Compared with the non-metallic soft gasket, the metal clad gasket is not easy to damage, stick to and corrode the flange sealing surface under the condition of frequent disassembly, and has higher strength.
Application scope of metal clad gasket: it is applicable to the sealing of pipeline flanges for pressure vessels (such as heat exchangers, reactors, etc.) with large diameter in medium high and low temperature and medium high pressure, and the flange sealing of pumps, pipe valves, pipelines and various equipment for various media.
